"To a Snowflake"
by Francis Thompson
What heart could have thought you?--
Past our devisal
(O filigree petal!)
Fashioned so purely,
Fragilely, surely,
From what Paradisal
Imagineless metal,
Too costly for cost?
Who hammered you, wrought you,
From argentine vapour?--
"God was my shaper.
Passing surmisal,
He hammered, he wrought me,
From curled silver vapour,
To lust of His mind:--
Thou couldst not have thought me!
So purely, so palely,
Tinily, surely,
Mightily, frailly,
Insculped and embossed,
With His hammer of wind,
And His graver of frost."
What heart could have thought you?--
Past our devisal
(O filigree petal!)
Fashioned so purely,
Fragilely, surely,
From what Paradisal
Imagineless metal,
Too costly for cost?
Who hammered you, wrought you,
From argentine vapour?--
"God was my shaper.
Passing surmisal,
He hammered, he wrought me,
From curled silver vapour,
To lust of His mind:--
Thou couldst not have thought me!
So purely, so palely,
Tinily, surely,
Mightily, frailly,
Insculped and embossed,
With His hammer of wind,
And His graver of frost."

Yeah! An new post! Where did you find that poem and picture? It's really neat!
Micah Noel, wow am I glad to see a new post. I want you to know that I check your blogs (and Bryant's) almost everyday. I can't wait to wear my new poncho (is that what you call it?) I hope that I typed in the word verification correctly. Miss you and love you.

Aunt Sandra,
That was quick! I just published two minutes ago. I'm a bit slower at posting than Bryant. :) Yes, your poncho is almost done. It will be arriving in the mail soon.
Lots of love!
Oh, Bryant, the picture links to the website where I found it.
