camp

I'd like to share with you about some of the exciting things that will be happening for me very soon. Next Sunday I am leaving for camp for two weeks. I attend NeKaMo Camp Cherith, an interdenominational girls' camp in Warsaw, Missouri. This summer at camp is going to be very special, because I am graduating from a two-year camper-in-leadership-training (CILT) program. It is a course that my mother and aunt also graduated from, over 30 years ago.
The past two years in the program have been wonderful, because I have learned to work with kids, speak in front of groups, lead songs and games, teach Bible studies, and much more. God has opened new doors and taught me so many new things through CILT, and I can't wait to find out what He has planned for me in the future. At the end of the two weeks, I will be a full-fledged staff member. That is an amazing thought, because it doesn't seem that long ago that I was 11 years old and spending my first week at camp.:) Will you keep me in your prayers as I prepare this week and during the next two weeks while I am there? I am greatly looking forward to how God will work in my life and and in the lives of others.

You're right! It does seem like just yesterday you were 11 years old and spending your first week at camp! If you think time is flying now...just you wait! Before you know it, you'll be watching your daughter or niece graduate from CILT and wondering where the time went.

I'm so happy that I'm going to be there for your graduation!
